Recently I heard that for MIS program, STEM extension has been removed.

Recently I heard that for MIS program, STEM extension has been removed. Is that correct? Can anybody help me in letting me know.

as far as I know MIS was never a part of STEM ,it is Management and not science.

It depends on the university... University of Texas still does it as a STEM major

for some univ's MIS do have stem extesnsion

It depends on the Univ as how they register that program with USCIS. I know some univ where they have the extension and some where they don't. So don't believe if someone say its removed RECENTLY. it was never there in some univ at all.
