F2 Visa: Case is in Admin process 221g. What is the usual wait time?

My wife and kid has appeared F2 visa interview more than 3 months ago. The case is in Admin process 221g. I was looking for the wait time of fellow F1ites. Please help

The most frustrating thing about 221(g) blue form is that there is no way to track your application. You have to wait. I can't assure you the time span.There is no way to expedite the process. unfortunately, administrative processing takes time, and one needs to remain hopeful. If one has been asked to submit the passport, then that’s definitely a positive sign

Things you can do is to track ur passport and track your case number or Email or call Department of State in Washington DC (contact information available on DOS website). Note that they will not provide any more meaningful information than what’s already available from VFS website and tracking case statis, and may be short in conversation.
