It depends on the job description to qualify ONLY for an interview. To improve your chances of getting a job, you need to PREPARE for a job interview. Interviews can be anything from basic behavioral questions to technical questions where you have to recall your undergraduate studies.

GPA is IMPORTANT to get a job but your GPA is good enough..We cannot generalize that GPA is NOT important..Logically, if you have done awesome research work under your Prof, it kinda means automatically that you are a good student (unless you are good student, Prof would not have taken you into his team, in the first place, right?), so it would be kinda shameful if you do not have a good GPA to show (ideally more than 3.0 minimum)..Plus, no question is pointless here (referring to an earlier comment)..we hardly ask the right questions at the right time in life..LOL!

GPA is not important if you have master's degree... your skills and how you make your resume is more important

I agree with Krishna. Moreover, 3.4 is not bad at all..it is pretty good score

3.4 is a decent GPA... and wht matters to the company hiring you is how much you know and how much you fit into their requirements.... anyways all the best.... rock on....

Develop some interview skills in order to bag a job... GPA is the last thing you should be worried about... if you have work experience and required skills demanded by the open position you can surely get positive results.

I guess this is a pointless question on a primarily immigration forum... Please keep the discussion relevant. To get a job you need prepare for interviews !!!

I don't think your GPA will be affected in any way. If you had done enough research on this, this Q wouldn't have come to your mind!!!
