F1 student dismissal

Hello,
I'm pursuing my masters now from ABC university. I was enrolled into the course from Fall 2015 and I am in probation in the first semester with my gpa being 2.9. I don't think now in the second semester I can get good grades due to a particular subject and I most probably will be dismissed. I would like to transfer to another university. Is it possible for me to do so? And how much time do I have before my SEVIS status being terminated. And please suggest me some affordable universities with financial aid for Industrial Engineering.

Please help me out here.

You cannot be in probation for more than 2 semesters. Meaning its ok if you screw up in your second semester. But if you are still in probation at the end of your third semester then your F1 status will be revoked automatically.

That's not true! If he has enrolled for 9 credits in his second semester and cannot push his cumulative to more than 3.0, he will be suspended.

If you are not able to change to another university, please look for some appropriate dept in your current university. That is a bit less stressful I feel.

You can transfer to a different university. No problems with that.
