F2 Visa For My Wife , with just 4 months left on my OPT

Hi,

We are applying F2 visa for my wife, we recently got married. I am on F1-OPT with my opt valid till May 2016.
I have read that many in many cases F2 visa got rejected due to less time left on OPT. So in our case will less time left create an issue ?
I am due for STEM OPT extension after my OPT expires.

You can apply its not going to be a problem if you can show all the documents like financial

I had the same situation long back. Make sure that you apply for STEM extension before she attend visa interview. Also give your case status number to her to produce if they ask. If you have already appled for STEM extension, she will get visa for sure.
