My Company is sponsoring Green Card this year, can my wife work this year itself?

you guys are doing a great job...in my company they are sponsoring green card this year.... can my wife start working from this year itself.....or is there any stages in the green card process should i need to cross...pls reply..

Correct - if your spouse is currently in a visa status that does not authorize her to work, then she will need to wait to receive an EAD card based on the pending adjustment of status application in order to commence employment. The adjustment of status application is the last step of the green card process.
