Change of location

I work for an employer A
And I was working at a client location in Texas before and now recently I moved to ILLINOIS for a different client.
My employer dint change my address on my pay slip I can see that the tax is on TEXAS and not on ILLINOIS.
Its been two pay slips and its still texas.
Already made the request with my employer to change the address asap and hopefully it will change soon.
But I want to know What are the negative impacts in such situation and what are the steps I need to take

Update ISO with new location, and keep a note of the addresses and dates for future use during H1B or GC process when asked for additional documentations

Is it a problem to hav preferred address in one state n hav taxes deducted from there and travel to work in different state ?? Will there be a problem ?? Is ISO need to know address of work location or my base state location..??
