L2 EAD Expires on Aug 7th

Hi,

My L2 EAD expires on Aug 7th,2015 ,so as our visa.Our I94 has validity till Jul-2017.I had submitted the form for my EAD renewal and i havent recieved my new card(still in process).I am working on contract basis.is it ok if i continue to work after 7th?We have filed GC, if i continue to work,will i get RFE or the delay during GC Processing?has any of you had situtation similar to me?My employer(doesnt have problem if i continue to work) says its upto you to decide whether to continue or Not.Please suggest me some ideas.
