Hey Guys,
I come across University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky and got to know details like it's a Private not for profit univ, it's a univ offering CPT from Day 1, low fee Masters Program in MS in Information Systems Security for 18 K and the duration is 24 months and it starts in Aug, 2015.
But I have few queries to you guys with similar experience or any one who can guide or suggest me on this:
My scenario:
I'm on H4 and my H1B for 2015 was in vain therefore I'm looking up for universities which offer me CPT
so that I can start working before applying for 2016 H1B Cap.
My queries:
1. Does university ( type of: Public/Private ) effects in converting from H4 to F1 ( i'm gonna apply for F1 as soon as I took admission in univ) and how long does it takes to convert from H4 to F1 ?
2. How long does it takes to apply for CPT from univ once i'm on F1 .
3. Does the above mentioned university is good enough ( anyone heard of the univ before and their CPT, Fee etc )
4. Does the university comes under a university where their graduate students can apply for H1B in further years ( I heard private, for-profit univ's cannot get H1B for their Grad's) and how does the graduation from a univ like this can effect life in USA like H1B, H4 EAD, Green Card if applied and any RFE's if required by the USCIS or any further consequences ?
5. Please let me know anything in the universe about the university
6. what would be the most possible thing to do in a situation like mine.
