Travel abroad while OPT application is pending, AFTER Program completion date

Hello everyone,

I am currently doing masters in Engineering management. I am graduating on Spring 2015.
I have planned trip of INDIA from 05/18/2015 to 06/16/2015.
I haven't filed my OPT yet. I don't have any job offers or EAD card at the time of my trip & re-entring the US port.

My Program completion date: 05/19/2015
END Date on Page 1 of I 20 Graduation date: 01/12/2017 (I am completing 2 years course in 1.5 years so I-20 says i am still student)
MY trip INDIA: 05/18/2015 to 06/16/2015
what is the best possible date for OPT start date.

Questions:
I am allowed to re-enter the US?
what would be the ideal time for OPT request?
TRAVEL RECOMMENDED ? => YES or NO
TRAVEL RISK LEVEL
What documents i require to re-enter the US?
