tell your situation to your teacher and he/she will let you do extra credits to pass your class. if you applied for OPT inspite of knowing you need one more semester to graduate then you commited a very big mistake.Leave a comment:

The pre-approved OPT can be given to student who completed all his course work and left with Thesis ONLY.Leave a comment:

I had applied for post opt in May last year, then my graduation got extended. You can get your EAD anytime.It doesn't matter when you graduate. But , you cannot file for stem unless you are graduate. Also if you are unemployed days in between you need to keep track of it.Leave a comment:

Well You can apply for pre-completion of OPT before your current I20 expires, If not your SEVIS will be terminated and you need to apply for re-in-statement process. Talk to your DSO If you sure that you wont be graduate in May. I am the who is undergoing that process... Contact me if you have any more doubts.Leave a comment:

Got EAD card- What if I don't complete my Masters?
I am expecting to complete my masters in May. I had applied to opt and got EAD also. If in case if I don't finish my masters in may. What should i do.
Can i work of 1 year in opt and then come back to school and finish my masters or do i have to stay back and finish it. If i come back after 1 yr and finish my masters can i get opt extension then?
