I have few questions regarding my Family petition based Green Card process.
My situation is that that my family based GC petition has a priority date of Jan 2001 and we will be having an interview scheduled within a month from today. The petition was filed by my aunt for his brother (my father) and his family. Now, following are my concerns:
1. What are the chances of me getting a GC considering the fact that i am turning 26 in 45 days? One of my cousins got her GC similar way when she was 25 and few days left before she turned 26 (2 months back).
2. If there are good chances of me getting a GC, is it advisable to go for an interview with my family back in India or here in the states? (I am currently in the US on H1B and my employer has already started GC procedure from their end too)
3. If i can schedule my interview in the US itself then how can i request it from USCIS?
Looking forward to some clarification on above concerns from immigration lawyers. Thanks in advance!!
