I am in my last semester of healthcare administration. I need your advice whether to take clinical sas or healthcare business analyst.
DesiOPT Response:
Hi Sindhuja, This is a great question and not an easy one to answer, Since it deals with choosing career.
Few suggestions based on experience
Business Analyst
-Having domain knowledge in Healthcare and experience in Healthcare for few years would be very helpful.
-For someone with great communication skills
-For someone who can solve problems and get multiple teams to agree on your proposed solution
-It's a generic field and with more experience you will have better opportunities.
SAS
-You would be able to build foundation in clinical SAS,Understanding of process, syatems, Data and Integration, Programming, reporting.
-This will give more exposure in your career and further help you in Business Analyst position as well.
So you have to decide what's better for you.
