  • Good News: Unlimited Green Cards for Graduates & 180K H1Bs

In the midst of the government shutdown, U.S. House Democrats are attempting to restart debate on a comprehensive immigration reform. Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday introduced a House version of the Senate's comprehensive immigration bill that was approved by a vote of 68 to 32 in that Democratic-controlled chamber.

    Below are some highlights
    * This bill exempts U.S. grads with advanced STEM degrees from green card caps
    * H1B Visa cap count can go up to 180,000
    * Authorize spouses of H-1B visa holders to work

It wont be passed. The bill proposed by Democrats has a lot of unwanted clauses and provisions for supporting illegal immigrants. So the Congress wont pass the law. Politicians dont care.

Correction: not illegal immigrants, undocumented immigrants. When in minority, one should try to be PC.

Is there any impact of this bill on f1 laws. Could you explain dual intent clause for F1 proposed?
