Graduating in May 2013. Have Full Time Job Offer with Start date in July. Prefer to go to Grad school and waiting for decision. If accepted, how can I work along with my Masters? Can I apply for CPT/OPT?

Hi! Could I ask you one question? I am graduating in May 2013. I have a full-time job offer and the job would start sometime in July. However, I prefer to go to grad school but I am still waiting for the school's decision.
If I am admitted to grad school, I would like to go for summer internship which may start sooner (for ex: May or June).
I know CPT process takes shorter time, and is meant for curricular internship, not for jobs. OPT is for both internship and job but it takes 3 months to process so I can't start my internship in timely manner. So what should I do? Should I apply for both CPT and OPT?

If you graduate in May, then you can only do OPT after graduation. So you do not have the option of CPT. If you get accepted in Graduate school still you cannot take CPT since Graduate school starts in August, so you can only take CPT from Aug. But again most univ these univ aren't permitting CPT in 1st sem. The only option you have is to work on OPT. Apply for OPT and you can work for internships as well. You won't get into trouble. Anyways you are going to grad school so you will have another OPT after u graduate there

As far as I know, you cannot take any classes while you are in OPT, I am in same exact position right now. Please share if you guys know any further details

Well I am sure you can be a part time student . Because even though your on OPT your still an F1 student. But I guess your company should agree to it too.
