Getting Married on OPT want to bring my wife to USA.

Hi I have a query on behalf of my friend.
Actually he is on OPT and working for verizone. He his getting married
now and what will be visa status of his wife, when she comes to USA as dependent to him. Is she will be allowed to work in USA right away or from when she will be able to work in USA (considering her visa status) ???
