Typical OPT Application processing time for USCIS California Center

Hi All,

Can anyone share their OPT application processing time for USCIS California center? My application reached USCIS on 9th May. As per the posts I have read, typical processing time is between 45 to 60 days. But I haven't received the card yet. Yesterday, someone told me that application processing times are higher for California center. I am not sure how USCIS allocates office. My mailing address was in California; not sure if this is the reason.

My employer wants me to start job ASAP, but I don't have my EAD card yet

Took me 3 months exactly. You can process expedite via your school.

Hi. I applied to California as well.I applied on april 4th and got my card on 8th July. It took me 94 days to get my card..

Send ur employer's offer letter n they will expedite ur EAD card application..in my case it took 86 days (CA office)

I applied on march 20 still I haven't received it yet. im from cal state university. All my friends got it in about 50 days. For some it took more than 5 months.it all depends.
