Getting Married- Is Travelling before the change of status risky?

Hi everybody,My cousin is travelling to India for his marriage in the month of August.He is presently on OPT and his H1 got approved.He also traveled to India last year on his OPT once and entered the US w/o any problem.

Many people are saying that travelling before the change of status is a risk.Please gimme your suggestions.Also temme the port of entry at which place would be safe?Thanks in advance.

If u have an approved H1 and valid opt during your travel you are safe to travel..
