OPT card delay- USCIS says it's taking 6 months to process

I applied for my OPT in november its been 4 months no update.Status online says Intial review from past 4 months.....did call USCIS customer service as well but no response they said these days its taking 6 months to process.... finding it very difficult please advice

It should not take more than 90 days but it is k even if u don't receive ur opt card... But make sure u receive ur ead number... It will be the same no on opt card too... If u hv that no u can start working there won't be any problem... I am pretty sure that Der won't b any problem... Just go n start working n I wish u all the very best for ur future...

Call again to USCIS.. Max it will take 3 moths....Might be they started the process just now...Dt wory U LL get...

OPT still in processing status is Intial review that means not processed so no ead as well so cant work

As soon as USCIS accepts your application and you receive your receipt, your employment is extended by 6 months so you need not worry about working now or not for 6 months, you can have the receipt as proof that its still in processing. Even my application is still in initial review. On which date did your application got accepted?
