Confusion on OPT and H1

Dear Friends,

I have a confusion in the situation I am in, I recently graduated with my Masters and got my OPT which expires in Feb 2018 and I dont have STEM extension on my OPT since my course was MBA with major in IT security management. The problem is , the consultant i am working with can sponsor but since April is the time to file the sponsorship, what would be the possile step I should be taking to cover the 2 month gap since my opt expires in Feb.
Please suggest me any solutions for this problems.

It's too late to get confused, you should get confused before getting graduated, so that you might have planned ahead now. Anyways I hope you find help.

Okay here is how it works..
Since your opt expires in feb 2018 and you dont have stem extension. You will have 60 days from the day your opt ends to either leave the country or go to another school for enrollment.... But there is another catch in the 60 days if your employer files for an h1 you can ask for extension ie cap gap... There is very less time in all this so be prepared... Another thing is you have to submit your the receipt to get the extension but not sure how all this will work out... Good luck...
