Can I start working knowing that OPT Card is mailed ?

u shd receive card in 2-3 days... its ok if u start working...

you have to start working only from the date stated on your EAD card and you should have the card.

I have a job offer in hand with my own professor. My OPT start date is 15th July. Today I checked status of my OPT application was changed to CARD/DOCUMENT production. Following is the message

"On June 19, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Now my question is: If I dont receive it by 15th July can I start working from July 15th. I have started volunterily but can they officially run my pay roll?
