thats the standard time uscis takes..as said do not expedite..i have had people facing issues later stages..

Hello,

I have applied for a PRE-OPT; sent the packet on Tuesday last week and got an e-mail for USCIS today mentioning that they received my application. The e-mail also said that my application will be sent to Nebraska for processing and it would take 7-10 days to receive the I-797 form via mail. I wanted to know if there is any way we can expedite the process of getting the PRE-OPT approved?

I remember reading through a few posts in the forum saying that we can call the USCIS and tell them that we are in a FINANCIAL CRISIS or something of that sort which will help in speeding-up the PRE-OPT process. Is that true? If not, can you tell me any other way by means of which it can be done?
