STEM OPT Application based on only offer letter from Desi Consultancy
Hello,
My initial OPT started on 1st Feb 2016 and would be expiring on 31st Jan 2017. I worked as a Unpaid "Volunteer" at Non profit organization from 10th March to 15th Oct 2016 for maintaining my visa status. From 17th Oct I joined a Desi Consultancy.
The company would start running my pay roll from 1st Dec 2016. But from 17th Oct to 30th Nov, I don't have any pay stubs, but just an offer letter.
I have below doubts regarding my case ?
1. I won't be having pay stubs from 17th Oct to 30th Nov, so, if I apply to STEM extension based on the only offer letter, do I receive any RFE from USCIS ? Is is mandatory to have a pay stub during this time period ? Without pay stubs, would this days (from 17th Oct to 30th Nov) be counted as an unemployment while considering my application for STEM by USCIS ?
2. Or shall I wait till first week of January so I would be having pay stub of Dec 2016 which I can include in my application packet ? In that case, would 17th Oct to 30th Nov be treated as an unemployment period ?
