Applying for OPT after getting an H1b RFE

Hi all,
I am on CPT right now and this year my employer applied for my H1b. It got picked but they received an RFE for it. They are working on gathering the documents USCIS has asked for. But my CPT will expire on December as I am graduating then and planning to apply for my OPT as a result. Now, my concern is if applying for the OPT would have any negative impact on either one of my case i.e. H1b or OPT?

Any suggestion or advices will be highly appreciated?

As long as the H-1B is pending but you are still in valid F-1 status, you can file for the OPT.
If you want to ensure there is no break in your employment, you should file for the OPT now so you can get it by January. If the H-1B is approved, you should withdraw the OPT application.

Ref is related to you or your employer??

If you case is in vermont and you are using cpt from day then there are chances that your cos will be denied... As cpt needs to be a integral part of your course... Any ways...

They are not related you can apply for opt... Unless your h1 is approved and cos is denied...
