OPT Extension pending approval,thinking of applying to college

I have OPT 24 months extension pending approval and I am thinking of applying to a graduate school while continuing with my job,Will this affect my OPT extension?,which status will i be in?,F-1 CPT or F-1 OPT?.Will there be any change in sevis? and will it affect my job?
