Your application will most likely be rejected or denied. You can try to file a Motion to Reopen, but USCIS will only re-open and adjudicate your application if you can possibly somehow show that the delay was not caused by you.

I think you should keep a copy of tracking record proving that you sent all the documents before the last date. The rule is that you need to file it before the last date. And if later they do reject you on late basis, you can use that proof that you filed within the deadline and challenge their decision with the help of an attorney.

One of my client's OPT reached USCIS a day after the last date and it was denied. Immigration is strict on deadlines. I appealed the case and was able to get the case reopened for the client to get the OPT reinstated. Feel free to reach out if there is a denial and my firm might be able to help you out.

Its indeed a problem , Rule is your packet should reach USCIS on or before expiry date ! It doesn't matter when you mailed ur docs !

Hi I have the same problem but, the USCIS actually lost my package and I have the tracking number and receipt that shows it was USPS fault.

I sent all documents before the deadline and it was supposed to be delivered to USCIS before my OPT expiration date. However, the package got lost, it was sent to KN instead of TX and then returned to me!!!. I resent the package when I got it (of course I was so panic) and I wrote a statement to explain everything and made copy of receipt and tracking number. The application is under review now, BUT I am so worried it will be denied. I also have a faculty position offer in another university but, I don't know what to do if this case get denied.

Could you please let me know what happened to your case?

I do need any help and suggestion

Your OPT extension does not get rejected as one is given a 60 days grace period
