CAP GAP between OPT EAD and H4 EAD

Hi.

I am on F1 visa and currently working full-time on OPT EAD. My employer filed H1B visa petition which got picked in lottery but then asked for additional documents. Now I got to know that my application has been denied. My OPT will expire in February 2017. My Husband is on H1 and his GC is under process. He is hoping to get his I140 approved by February and after that I can apply for an H4 EAD, whcih might take few time. Will I be eligible for CAP GAP in case of my expired OPT EAD and waiting for H4 EAD.

I have also heard about the colleges giving CPT in first semester itself. If I have to go for this option when should I apply for colleges and CPT.

You wont cover under cap gap take admission for jan intake from day one cpt

Reason for h1 denial? Process is simple.. Join college which offers cpt from day 1 (there are many btw). Wait till your husbands i140 getting approved and you can switch to h4 ead and can remain on an active status.
