India travel with OPT status

Hi,
I will be graduating in December 2016, and i will be in OPT status from then. I also have an Offer letter from a company in which I'm planning to join from February 2016. So, can i travel to India in January 2017 and come back with OPT card and an Offer letter in hand ? Will there be any immigration issues in this case ?

you can travel once your opt is approved but not during the process in pending state

you can. I did. they might stop u at airport for additional verification. I sat there for one hour and then they let me go.
