Worried about E-verification

My employer claims that his company is E-verified and also has a E-verify identification number but when I searched the company name in E-verify list on https://www.uscis.gov/e-verify/about...rs-search-tool I dont find my employer name. Please suggest me if it is OK to proceed for OPT extension with the same employer or do I need to change my employer before filing for OPT extension.

agents(EEAs), and federal contractors who have self-reported that their company has five or
more employees.

For stem extension, company needs to be e-verified.

Ask your HR whether they are using other company's(i.e. 3rd party company) e-verification id?

Sometimes companies register with another company that acquired them. Its okay to ask HR under wat name are they registered. Usually employers dont lie about if they are everified as they are the ones who will file for ur h1b meaning they want u long term

Also Check the name which is name on your payslip. If not, then show the screenshot of results to your company plp. E verification is simple process

Hi,

I am also facing a similar problem applying for STEM OPT 24 extension. I have been given a E-verify number (6 digit number different to EIN) to fill in the I-765 form from my employer. I tried to verify this using the USCIS Tool but it does not show my employer name. [ I read that USCIS updates the information quaterly]. But my employer gave me a e-verify confirmation case which stated the employer E-verify ID and the documents he used to verify me as an employee.

So, will this be an issue, as my employer name is not present in the USCIS website? Should I attach the copy of the E-verify confirmation case to the I-765 and send it to USCIS?

Kindly, help me in this regard. Your information is valuable and appreciated.
