2 DWI's on record

I have 2 DWI charges on record. One back in 2010, another one in March 2016. But both charges have been settled and I have paid fines, took rehabilation classes, attended panels etc. I just got a an offer letter from a client thru a consulting company. Can the employer terminate my Offer letter as they are running a background check. Im currently on OPT.

Background check does not have to do anything with DUI, BG check is only for criminal records or felony. DUI is not a felony and does not have any counts charged with it, it is just a violation of traffic rules and laws. You are good to go.

Currently DUI may also leads to deportation ,also people get issues in immigration ,h1 stamping

All depends on the employer policies. in your case it will be both the consulating company as well as the client you will be working for.

It depends upon the working sector. If the client is part of banking industry, then yes having DWI can be a problem. If required, make sure that your consultancy declares about your previous charges to client.

Yes, they can. It’s up to the employer to decide whether a DWI is a disqualifying factor, and there’s really nothing you can do about that. A DWI is not a simple traffic violation, and it depends on the jurisdiction if it’s a felony charge or misdemeanour.
