  • Mechanical Engineer to Business Analyst. Will STEM be approved

    Hi,

I have completed my Master's in Mechanical Engineering and Recently I got 2 job offers. One is in Mechanical Engineering and One as a Business analyst.
I am more inclined towards the position of business analyst but I want to know if I work as a business analyst, will it be a problem for my STEM extension.
I have also taken courses from Computer's department during my master and I have also enhanced my skill in MS EXCEL and data analysis during my master's program. I have worked mostly with the simulation of mechanical systems along that I have enhanced my skills in algorithm of modern computer system plus made myself strong in coding.
My only concern is if I select this Business analyst job , will there be a problem in my STEM Extension.

    Please help me out.

    Thanks

I bet his consultancy is in NY or NJ. Anyway, does anyone have any idea what these business analysts do? I see people from all kinds of background getting jobs as business analysts without having any experience in the field.

People, stop being jealous. Don't even talk about deportation when you are married to a citizen. However, you can choose either of them but when you choose BA you might have to deal with some additional paper work if you don't fill out your i983 appropriately.
