I 130 and I 485 pending, OPT expiring on dec. Am I eligible for interim EAD?

Hi. My current status if F1 OPT and we are submitting i 130 and i 485 forms next week. My current OPT expires on Dec 2016. I wanted to ask if my i 130 gets approved after my OPT expiration date, am I allowed for interim work permit until my i 130 form is approved?

you can submit form I 765 with your form i 130 and i 485. Your I130 and I765 will be approved at the same time, so you can work and travel after your OPT expires (in case I765 and I130 are approved by that time).

You don’t seem to understand the process. When you file the I-130 and I-485, you also need to file the I-765 so you can get the work permit based on the pending I-485. The work permit should be processed within 90 days. If you file now, you should get it before your OPT expire. There is no such thing as an “interim” work permit anymore.
Your I-130 and I-485 will be processed together and will not be approved until you have had your interview. When approved, you will obtain your green card, which will supersede the work permit.
