Hello,
I am Siva, Masters student in Electrical Engineering. I have completed my bachelors in Electrical & Electronics Engg in India and came to USA in Fall 2014 for Masters program. I have completed my course work and planning to graduate in Dec 2016. I have applied for many jobs in my field of study but I don't know the reason, I didn't receive any calls from employers. I am guessing that its very difficult to get a job in Electrical Industry in USA. So, I am planning to apply jobs in IT side, but I don't know the eligibility status and visa issues if look for IT jobs after completing my Masters in Electrical Engineering. I have taken few courses in computer science department in my undergraduate and graduate degrees. And I also have a little knowledge on Sql, PL/Sql, and SAS. If I wrote the certification exams for Sql, Pl\Sql and SAS, will I get a job in IT industry based on the above courses and Will be there any issues with H1B visa filing and processing (In the present scenario and immigration rules). I want to clarify these doubts before deciding on my future. Someone, please get back to me as soon as possible.
