I am working and my present employer is not ready to sign my i 983 for extension.I was thinking of changing my employer to one who is willing to sign for my extension(keeping the same job). How feasible is this option? Can this create any problem. I would appreciate if someone having the same issues can guide me. Thanks!

yes you can but be careful depends on the prime vendor and your employer relation as well.check with your prime vendor first .if the prime vendor is ok with the change in employer you can go a headComment

There shouldn't be any problem as long as your i983 directly correlates with your degree. I changed my employer while my OPT Ext application was pending. I sent them amended i765 and RFE details (I initially applied for 17 months in April, USCIS sent RFE stating apply for 24 months with some employer details and college degree). I got my OPT Extension approved. It took about 2 months of time.Comment
