EAD Card error : Country of Birth

Hi Guys ,

Your response for this topic ASAP is appreciated.

I have received my EAD today and I see country of birth is printed as UNKOWN. Mistake was from my side , as I left blank for country of birth space in I 765 form.
I have reached USCIS customer service center and they say It would take another 3 months to get rectify error and fine of $465.
So What can I do now ?
Can I apply for SSN with previous card ?
Will it be problem If I apply for job with the present card which I have ?
Do I really need to change country of birth on card or will it be okay If i continue with error ?
Did anyone face this kind of issue ?

Please reply ASAP as my OPT is starts from next week

i will submit this EAD for now, start working, make photocopies, and get that error corrected.

Dont worry use the same card . For ssn and others they use u r passport

It is not necessary to change u r country of birth on u r opt ead

Exactly as long as you use passport you're fine ..i had a same problem
