OPT end, H1B start date query?

Hello,

Could some one explain?

This is my scenario:

OPT end date - Feb 2017.

If I apply for H1B visa in Aug, 2016( non cap) and say it gets approved for Nov, 2016. Can my H1B start date be Nov 2016? Or do I need to wait till Feb 2017 to go to India and get it stamped?

If it gets approved for Nov, 2016 will I be able to travel to India to get it stamped by December 2016?

Please clarify.

you will get an RFE to submit 1-983 I am sure 100 5 lot of people experienced

question is not clear you are taking abt h1 through non profit org .usually april first will be the h1 date

For the actual question posted ---- you can go to India in Dec 2016 and get stamped if your visa gets approved in Nov 2016. You dont have to wait till Feb 2017.

If the H-1B is filed as a change of status, the employer can request a start date of whenever they want for a cap exempt H-1B. You don’t have to go for stamping if it is a change of status.
