  • STEM OPT- Employer change after RFE

    HI,
I have applied for STEM Extension before may 10 and i got RFE. My employer is not ready to fill I983 form. Now I have a new Employer who can fill I983 for me. What is the process to Reply to RFE after changing Employer. Should we need to fill I765 again?
    Thanks

No need to refile I-765. Respond to the RFE explaining that you are changing employer (make sure you have notified the DSO about the change as well). You should provide their E-Verify details and also submit the I-983.

You cannot change your employer if your opt is expired but if your opt is still valid you can change your employer filling i 983 form

                Hi Lisa,

I am in a similar situation. I have already submitted my RFE response which included new i983. My current employer is a E-Verified, but I didn't explicitly specify that its an E-Verified company. I didn't mention the E-verify number for my new employer anywhere in my RFE application.

What do you think USCIS will do?

                Please reply, thanks!
