they will most likely change your start date because you have the right to work for one year and otherwise you will be cut short a few weeks. My start date was june 1st too but they changed it to 6/10 not fun because I had to tell my employer I couldn't work for a few weeks...Leave a comment:

Waiting for my OPT card. CPT ended on 05/31/2013. Can i Work?
I applied for OPT and got my receipt number from USCIS on April 12th but till date i did not receive my OPT card. In the OPT application i put my start date as 06/01/2013. Now my question is will the start date on my OPT card be same as the one on my OPT application or will it change. I am currently working on my CPT and my CPT ended on 05/31/2013. So can i continue to work as my OPT start date on my application is 06/01/2013 or should i stop working till i receive my OPT card??
