STEM OPT: Currently in 17 months; Planning to apply for 24 months.

I have submitted for STEM OPT extension for 7 months and received i797C form stating the type as Receipt.
It asked me to confirm the personal details mentioned in the form and call them if there are any discrepancies. I found everything alright and hence did not call them.

When can I expect their next mail communication? Can anyone of you help me on this.

Hi Everyone,

Did anyone get the 24 months EAD Card or approval notice from USCIS ? Currently I am in 17 months extension and my STEM OPT started recently(in June 2016). I am planning to apply for extra 7 months.Should I apply it before Aug 10 2016 or Is there any way to apply before my Actual 17 month STEM OPT expiration.Please help me out.
