Applying B1/B2 visa for current employer purpose after coming back to India due to OPT denial

Hi All,

I completed my Masters in CS at US and I applied for OPT. But due to some reasons, my OPT was denied and so I came back to my home country (India). Now I am working in India and my employer wants me to initiate B1/B2 visa for a project work. Will the visa interviewer get to know my opt denial?

Yes. The application for visa asks about prior US travel and visa application.

By the way why ur opt is denied? U simply cant say due to some reasons opt is denied.

It’s not likely the officer will have information on the denial, but the officer can very well ask why you returned to India without doing OPT and you will need to be honest.
