  • My OPT Documents are missing at USCIS

    i have sent all my opt documents to USCIS through UPS and i have tracking number they have recieved my documents but now saying that my documents are missing and not even taking my tracking details to check
    Now what should do to solve this problem

    Can i resend my documents to USCIS?or else i cant?

      If you are sending the application documents for first time, wait for few days. If USCIS received documents, they will send you notice of receipt within 15 days.

      You can always call USCIS customer care to confirm if they received your documents.

          it has been 30 days i havnt got any receipt number when i called to customer care they are saying that we cant say anything ryt now pls mail to this emailid (thy hve given me one) so that they can investigate upon ur issue but it hasbeen more 7dys i havnt got any reply from them

          when i approached my DSO college she said i have to wait 6weeks for the recipt number is it correct?

            If it’s not too late, then the best option is to re-file and get a new signed I-20. However, make sure you write in the submission on the cover letter that this is a re-submission because the first package was lost at USCIS (include the shipping confirmation), just in case they do find the application later.
