Stem-OPT-I-983 Question !! Please clarify

Hi,

I and my manager both are full time to 'A' Company but we both work at our client location 'B', where he will monitor my performance and review the status of my project.

In section 3: I will enter employer information "A" company
In section 5: Site information "B" Client.

Am i eligible to apply for Stem OPT extension ??? Or Will it be any problem in this case??? Need suggestions.

Please help !!!

USCIS has already warned that, in the instance of consultant jobs, the approval of the STEM OPT will be difficult. However, in your case, as you have onsite supervision by an employee of the company, you may have a better shot.

My friend had same trouble.. I made a template and maybe this would help. Make sure to check with your employer beforehand.

Student Role:
The Student <<NAME>> has a degree in Information Technology and her current role with <<Company Name>> as <<ROLE>> involves application of basic and advanced knowledge learnt during her studies. The current role requires <<NAME>> to build additional learning patterns such as writing machine learning algorithms, analyzing the data, designing the data flow process, compiling programs for processing the data logically and channel the result to a user understandable method via various business intelligence tools. During this course <<NAME>> is involved in presentations and also designing of architectural diagrams to provide a better understanding of the system.

Goals and Objectives:
The student <<NAME>> has completed masters in information technology and has exposure to practical environment during her studies, which was subjective and limited in nature. Information Technology is vast and needs more hands-on learning to apply technical studies, methods of coding, encryption and decryption of data along with concepts of storage and refinement with application of algorithms. To achieve these goals, the student needs to get exposure to the everyday scenarios and applications. Employment with <<Company Name>> as a <<ROLE>> will allow the student to get practical experience in building applications, understand the storage mechanisms and create algorithms for real world use cases.

Employee Oversight:
<<Company Name>> is E verified and will be supervising the student’s work via weekly status reports, which explains the goals and objectives achieved for the week and conduct a bi weekly sessions to provide and receive feedback on the work progress. This iteration helps to strengthen the employer-student relationship as it is closely monitored and tracked.

Measures and Assessment:
At <<Company Name>> we believe in having a close relationship with the student to measure the progress in terms of learning new knowledge everyday and apply it skillfully to achieve the objective. We have scrum meetings that help understand the objectives that have been laid out for the student and the timeframe for completion. Necessary knowledge and skills are trained and applied to achieve the objectives.

Hey thanks for the template, do you know anyone who has followed this template and got the stem extension approved?, I cannot find description about cases where the extension got approved or rejected if working via staffing. Any inputs would be of great help

Sahil Kamdar Staffing thing isn't a problem. I know two folks who got it without hassle and as far as the template goes, this is to give idea. Modify as it fits..
