OPT STEM extension- degree related work fields

I got PhD in Biochemistry, did my phd work on cancer and was teaching at medical school. Currently i am on my f1-opt and applied for extension. My employer is e-verified and im starting medicine residency, i had MD degree earned before my phd. Considering i will be doing cancer research during my residency, oncology rotations, teaching and seeing patients, and biochemistry/skin cancer is part of medicine field. Does this my new job qualifies me for STEM OPT? Is my field of study related to my new job?
Please share ur thoughts and experience. I have nightmares and palpitations. Worrying...
