should i apply opt extension or not?
I got my h1 approved and start date is from October 1st. my opt is going to expire on august 19 . so should i apply for extension or will there be any cap GAP period which i can utilize. if there is any then should i apply for it or what is the process.

You are covered by Cap Gap and can continue working until September 30 on OPT and then on October 1 your status will change to H-1B (https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/cap-gap; http://www.visapro.com/Video/f1-opt-to-h1b.asp). -
