Hi,My Initial 12 Month opt will expire on 25 May 2016.I applied for stem extension,status is still pending.My question is am i still eligible to work even after my card expires ? Can i run Pay roll ? If yes, How long can i work ?? Thanks in Advance

Yes, you are authorized to work for 180 days after your OPT expires as long as the STEM OPT extension was filed timely and is pending.Originally posted by vens1212 View PostComment

You may legally work until six months after your OPT expires provided that your STEM OPT application is in processing.Comment
