  • employer details not submitted

One of my friend is on opt ead. His OPT started in jan 2016, he got a job in april as an unpaid intern with consulting 20hrs/week, after 5 days he got another paid intern opportunity from another company 40hrs/ week. He accepted both offers, the first company e-verified him as 20 hours/week unpaid intern , and he updated the employer details in the school web portal. currently, He is working for both companies. He is worried because after working for 3 weeks he come to know that the second company is not e-verified company. The second company is running payroll $10/hr w2, direct account paid.
He is confused whether he can submit his non-e-verified company details to USICE or not. Start date of job in both companies is in the same week. Please respond with your suggestions.

In initial OPT i.e., 12 months OPT can also work with employer who is not e-verified, but in STEM OPT the employer should be e-verified.

No issues, Initial 12 months OPT does not direct to work for an e-verified company. STEM extension requires the employer to be e-verified. Report second employer to ur school to avoid an issues in the future, since they are running payroll.
