OPT EXTENSION Applied - NO Receipt Until Now

Hi All,

I have applied for OPT extension on March 24 and my packet received on March 25. (I have tracking number as well as the person name who signed and received the packet).

I had sent the packet to Texas (to Lewisville but not to vermont as the packet was sent overnight)

My question is how many days I need to wait before I contact USICS?
Is it better to go to USICS field office rather than calling them (The field office location is near to me)?

Appreciate any help!!

give a call to uscis 800 number .you should get a receipt in 14 days .some time due to human error letters might be missing .give them a call they will give you the wac or some number for tracking .if it doesnot work then you can go to field office

So when did you receive the receipt notice finally? I am waiting for the same and it's been a month.
