Lost my Passport applied for OPT already!!

Hello, I have applied for OPT on 6th March and got a confirmation to. But I lost my Passport today. DO I need to inform USCIS? Is this going to delay my OPT?EAD Card process? I know I need to report the police and get a new passport. My new passport will be blank but that's fine I am not planning to travel this year but do I need to get an i-94 replacement for employment purposes?

no need to inform to uscis .if you get RFE also u are going to send copies only .so not a problem

Same situation happen to my friend but He is in F1 visa now , so if He need Ssn or opt do He need visa stamping In passport plz let me know!
