OPT Application for the first time

Hi All,

I am currently working on my CPT and have it until May 15 2016, i have applied for OPT and got a confirmation from USCIS. I have heard many people saying that OPT approvals are taking longer than usual time periods. what options do i have if they delay the process post my CPT expiring date.

You can start a Service Request after 75 days.
You cannot work if your CPT has expired and you haven't received the card.
