  • Copy of I-765 (OPT application) was sent instead of the original

Hello dear friends, I am in big trouble. I need your help.
For my OPT application, I probably have sent a copy of I-765 form instead of the original. I used black ink pen to sign the form, and it was difficult to tell the difference. Will my OPT be denied because of this? Or do you think USCIS will issue an RFE requesting me to send them the original?

If it's difficult to tell the difference USCIS might not notice and move forward as is.

If they realize it’s a copy, they may deny. If it’s not too late (it’s less than 60 days since your program ended), you might want to consider withdrawing and refiling with a new I-20.

            Hello everyone,

I am in urgent need for help guys. I applied for OPT and 2 months later got a RFE- as it turns out, my DSO forgot to include a copy of my passport page in my application package. I am extremely worried as I am not entirely sure whether I should be reissuing a new I-20 (in order to make sure I don't pass the 30 day window of filing), or whether I should just send the passport copy that they asked for. I heard about many people forgetting to sign I-20 or I-765 and having to get reendorsed and refile the entire application. Please advise, this is keeping me up at night.
